"On every automotive platform, the process of shooting, moving, and communicating begins at the battery. This training provided invaluable knowledge into battery maintenance that is a must for any successful maintenance program."

"In the five months following the Hawker® battery training with the Hawker® Field Support Rep (FSR), we have not had to turn-in a single Hawker® battery!"

"I wanted to make a special point of thanking your company for the services provided by your Field Support Representative (FSR) here at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton the week of September 12, 2011. The FSR provided Hawker® lead acid battery maintenance training at nine locations on base in three days. This service was provided to a large number of Marine Units and tenants, including Navy and Army detachments, that attended these nine training sessions.
This training is simply invaluable to us and is appreciated as a service associated with the large number of batteries that the Marine Corps purchases on a regular basis from Enersys®.
We sincerely hope that this training and product support continues. The benefit that these services bring to our Marines, our tenants, and the overall efficiency of the Base is meaningful to our military training and operations, and very much appreciated. Thank you."

"Don't have to convince me, I handle Reset for NC. But every vehicle that leaves our shop that needs batteries (approx 75% of them) leave with Hawkers installed. And yes most equipment returning from a Sustainment level Reset will have them installed as well. A big reason we first invested into Hawkers about 4 years ago was because of the hazardous free qualities, making it easy to transfer them around the state without having to be HAZMAT certified."

"We managed to save over 60 Hawker® batteries to date! Only one would not come back to "life"! Even so, it holds 4.33 volts at about 400 CCAs! We learned a lot by trial and error. Having the proper equipment helped a lot too! Patience and not giving up too easy is one lesson we learned! At one of the last meetings of the "minds", it was asked why we haven't bought any batteries in over 60 days. He briefly explained the system we were using. Now our supervisor has to show the rest of the fleet how it's done! Thanks for your information and guidance. That little advice saved the Government thousands of dollars! Also thanks for making, which is hard to say today, "A Great Product"!!

"Out of the 20 Hawker® batteries we were going to dispose of, thanks to the Hawker® Field Service Rep (FSR). It looks like we will be able to save all 20 of them. That is a savings of over $7,000.00...not bad for just starting out."

"I have my own test procedure called "trial by fire" in which Hawkers have passed with flying colors. I have been using Hawkers in Afghanistan, Fort Campbell, Fort Polk, Kuwait, and now Iraq. They have been through extreme heat, winter cold, constant use in combat, sitting for weeks on the line at home, or for months on ships coming to and from the Middle East. The vehicles were equipped with multiple communication platforms, operating with the vehicles running and turned off and have had no problems with any vehicles using Hawker® batteries. Two weeks ago, I replaced my first set of Hawkers EVER, due to operator neglect, compared to over 60 Exide 6TMF batteries so far during Operation Iraqi Freedom alone."

"The 4th Infantry Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team switched to Hawker® batteries prior to deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to switching to Hawker® batteries, the vehicles could operate for an average of only 30 minutes on battery power before the engines had to be started to re-charge the batteries. After switching to Hawker®, the battery operating time increased from 30 minutes to at least 4 hours (8:1) before a recharge was needed. Also, on the average, Hawker® batteries lasted four times longer than the 6TMF flooded lead acid batteries. From a cost perspective, the Hawkers are cheaper to procure simply because they outlast the 6TMF by a margin of 4 to 1, they save fuel by requiring less frequent starting of vehicles and recharging, and reduced engine wear surely saves on repair costs. Fewer hours on engines translates to decreased operating costs. Hawker® batteries are more efficient allowing soldiers to operate more effectively."

"The supporting OMS of the 1/181 FA BN installed Hawker® batteries in 18 MLRSs during Feb 03 (10 batteries per MLRS). They were mobilized in Apr 03 thru Jun 03 at Ft. Campbell and had daily vehicle exercises in the motor pool plus a 12-day exercise in the field. They have NOT had one Hawker® go bad yet! They have had one LRU equipped with Hawkers go down in the last three months during IDT use, and normally they lose three per IDT each weekend with the conventional flooded batteries. The OMS mechanics feel the steady and stronger current provided by the Hawker® battery has decreased maintenance downtime on the MLRS electronic components as well."
